So, you’ve got a club and your traffic is sort of okay, and you’re thinking, “why not add a mall and make more L$?”
So, you add a few shops, trawl the most popular malls to find out which designers are in growth mode, and send invitations to them to come and rent at your new mall, the brand new one outside your club with the okay traffic.
But, are you going to make sure that your patrons know about the shops outside the club? If you have a fixed landing point, are you going to make sure that all the shops have more or less equal foot traffic going past them? Or, failing that, are all the shops visible from the dance floor? Shops that are tucked away in a back alley is just not good enough. The fact that it’s common practice doesn’t make it right.
Quite frankly, dear club-and-mall owner, I will not rent from you.
And, if you rebuild the club, will you let your loyal renters (the one's who have been renting for years) know in good time? Will you make sure that your loyal renters are close to the dance floor, or to the landing point? No, two day’s notice to move your shop is not good enough. Not letting them know, is not cool either.
If my sales drop, dear club-and-mall owner, and stay down because you don’t know the first thing about club-mall economics, I will leave your mall, find another one, and warn people about you.
On the other hand, if you are one of those wonderful club-and-mall owners that understand how high foot traffic and high visibility means good sales for your shop-keepers, and if you actively work to promote their shops, you will find your mall rented out by loyal, long-term renters, which will be real good for your cash flow when you need to render unto LL at the end of the month.
And if you happen to be one of these club-and-mall owners who take care of your shop-keepers, and if I happen to be renting in your mall, send me a note, because I will be totally happy to sponsor your events in a big way.

Goodbye, Green Tower!

Remember how Little Secrets moved into Enercity Weston in September last year? What a party! I can still remember how exited I was at the prospect of not only being able to build a main shop for Little Secrets, but also of being able to do the one thing I’ve always wanted since I started playing Second Life: to build a really really tall tower. I made sure that it will be okay to have a real tall tower before I bought the land, and I remember Ener’s enthusiasm about the prospect.
In the end I didn’t build the shop or tower because I met Steamy, who gave it a go and what an awesome job he did! Ener loved his builds too, so Steamy and I installed the Ancient Spaceship and the Green Tower on my land.
Sadly, my neighbours did not like the tower much. And they never told me. I whish they did! Ener once mentioned that someone complained but she downplayed it and I didn’t find out about them hating it until the new sim owner asked me to take it down. This comes after the real sad weekend when Ener announced that she’s got to let her estate go (sob sob) so I feel a bit shaken right now.
But the Green Tower has got to go! I hate offending people, so it’s time to call the demolition team. I told Steamy. He wrote back: “Don’t sweat it Kim, it’s not worth it! I’ll build you another one when you get land where towers are legal.” What a nice bloke! I do appreciate guys like that.
I loved living in Enercity. It was funky and eclectic, a great place to explore, with secrets spots to find and zombies to avoid, totally unconventional, and always fun to be in. In every sense, it was so like the mood of the bikinis I make and sell: unconventional, a little rebellious, more than just a bit daring, but definitely never downright skanky.
I’ve been wondering today: although Enercity was perfect for Little Secrets, maybe Little Secrets no longer fits into Enercity. Perhaps it never did. Whatever the case, I do apologise to my fellow neighbours for irritating you guys! I’m truly sorry.
I guess Steamy’s right. Maybe I should find land where odd-ball towers are not only legal, but popular too.
That means that the Little Secrets main shop might move again in the next few weeks or months. If that’s the case, I’ll naturally post an update on this blog.

Steamhand Xenobuilder, the young man that built the Ancient Spaceship that is now the main shop for Little Secrets, build a wonderful tower behind the spaceship, rising high above Second Life's clouds.
A winding walkway corkscrews inside the tower from ground level to a docking platform. Two small spaceships are docked to the tower just below the cloud base, and somewhat above the docking platform.
There is a bright beam shooting up inside the tower, through it's upper platform, into the endless sky. Is this a communication system, built by the aliens that crash-landed here in ancient times? Did they manage to contact their home world, or were they stranded here? Who knows?
To explore the green tower, transport to Little Secrets shop (http://bit.ly/kimshop), and you will find it behind the spaceship.

I don't usually bother with Halloween much... I mean, even daddy long legs freak me out! But I made a pumpkin bikini for a bit of laugh, and added it to the Little Secrets main shop (http://bit.ly/kimshop).
It's not quite as daring as some of the other Little Secrets bikinis, but it is a wee bit transparent, so might get you into trouble, so take it easy with the trick-or-treating :-)

It's been more than a year and a half since I created my first bikinis. During this time Second Life became much more sophisticated, and way we designed out shops in 2007 just can't cut it any more.
That is why I've spent the last month or two on a new design for the bikinis in my shop. The first bikini range to get it's display-makeover is the get-it-wet bikini collection:

And here, just for comparison, is the old design:

I kind of like the new ones better - don't you, too?
Here's the new shop displays in action in the Little Secrets shop at Betria:

After a week of frantic inspiration, texturing and testing, a brand new Little Hearts bikini is now available in the Little Secrets shop, just in time for your Valentine shopping. It comes in three colours (red, white and black) and two versions: a cute dry bikini that is tiny but covers all the important bits, and then and a rather more daring wet bikini that almost covers the important bits, but not quite.
Because I've made it for a bit of fun on Valentine's day, each pack (L$100) contains a wet and a dry bikini.
There is also a colour pack that contains all three colours in both wet and dry for L$175, for girls who can't decide which colour they like best (and for you guys that are not quite sure what she likes).
The bikinis are transferable. (Hint for guys that want to get lucky: girls love gifts on Valentine's day!)

Since releasing the hazardous stripes bikini a week ago (a bikini that gets girls into so much trouble that we had to stick a warning onto each shop display), I received so many requests for more colours that I've added the three most asked-for colours to the range.
The hazardous stripes bikinis are now available in black, white, red, green and blue.

I've just completed a new creation called the Hazardous Stripes Bikini.
After seeing it in action though, I realised I may have gone to far, so decided to warn Sl residents against buying it.
Yes, you've heard right:
Do not buy this bikini! It will get you into more trouble than you can handle!

But, if you insist, and can't bear to live in any other way than dangerously, you will find it at my new shop in Nemnem: http://bit.ly/kimshop

Yup, Little Secrets is one of the many shops in Second Life that decided to chop their proces way down, so that residents can buy their Christmas presents in spite of the economic turmoil in both Rl and SL.
As you'll know by now, Little Secrets sell the naughtiest get-it-wet bikinis ever, peek-a-boo shirts for dancers, and hot swim shorts for blokes.
So, why don't you head down to the Little Secrets shop (http://bit.ly/kimshop) for some Christmas pressies?

As you know by now, the Split Shirt contains 3 shirts in each set, and each on of the 3 shows more boob that the previous one.
And because the way that your stuff bursts out of your shirt reminded be a bit of those little monsters in the Aliens movies I thought that, for a laugh, I'll create a new shirt:
Yes, it's got A L I E N S on it!
The Split Shirts are also available with hottie, bustin' out, split open, and twin peeks. They are on sale in my Little Secrets shop: http://bit.ly/kimshop

This is me modeling it:

hottie is the latest in my series of Split Shirt sets.... each set contains 3 shirts, each one showing more boob that the previous one. ;-)
Also available: bustin' out, split open, and twin peeks. They are on sale in my Little Secrets shop: http://bit.ly/kimshop

You will now find the range of split shirt sets in my Little Secrets shop.

You can choose between two colors (red and black), and also between two slogans: "split open" and "twin peeks". Each set contains 3 shirts: a sexy slit, a wider slit to let your nipples peep out, and then the last, wide open one one, flashing your boobs in all their glory!
Each set sells for L$100, at Little Secrets: http://bit.ly/kimshop

Finally!
I lost track of the number of texture I had to upload. It ruined my finances like you wouldn't believe, but who cares!
It is finally ready to hit the stages and the dance floors: a slitted shirt that you can pull open to reveal your secrets to your boyfriend (or girlfriend, of course), or to the heavy tippers at the club where you work, or to the crazy crowd you're dancing with.

I'll add it to the Little Secrets shop as soon as I've boxed it up.

Creating bikinis was loads of fun.... but I needed a break from that. So I thought I'll try something that is just as naughty (it is about revealing secrets, too!), but different.
So that is what's keeping me busy at the moment..............
Here's a clue: it's made for dancing.

It took longer and it was more work than I thought it would be - but I've set up shop!
I decided to call it the Little Secrets shop. Right now, you will find the new bikini that I designed but I will add more stock I think. Mainly secrety girly sort of stuff.
What I didn't mention in my previous post, was that my little bikini comes on both layers, with top on shirt and undershirt layers, and bottoms on pants and underpants layers. That means I can wear it with my suntan lotion!
The other thing about it, is that it's a get-it-wet bikini :-) That means that you can choose to wear a bikini that's sheer, damp, wet, or completely transparent. Whatever suits your mood, and your skin. For instance, some skins have real pale nipples, and will only start to peek through with a damp bikini.
Here they are: mat, sheer, damp, wet, and transparent (no I can't publish that one on here!)

I decided to sell the full combination for L$300. You can also buy the individual bikini's (sheer, damp, wet, or transparent) for $L100.
Go and check them, out! Visit the Little Secrets shop: http://bit.ly/kimshop

So I've completed my first little bikini. I'm mostly happy with it but, more importantly, so are the few friends I asked to try it on. :-)
Here it is:
I'll ask more opinions and if they all give the thumbs-up, I'll probably go and rent a shop. If not, I guess I'll have to go back to Photoshop.

I love Second Life, but it also frustrates me endlessly.
Well the camping finally got to me. There must be better ways to earn Lindens! My friends suggests that I use my credit card, like they do but I just dont want to do that. SL is a game, remember? And I'm determined to play the game, not break my card.
Then there's my inability to find bikinis that I like. Lots and lots and lots of bikinis, but I cant find the stuff that I like in RL.
So I'm going to solve two problems in one go: I'm going to try my hand at creating swim wear. The sort that I like. And if they are any good, I'll be selling them!!!!
