Goodbye, Green Tower!

The green tower

Remember how Little Secrets moved into Enercity Weston in September last year? What a party! I can still remember how exited I was at the prospect of not only being able to build a main shop for Little Secrets, but also of being able to do the one thing I’ve always wanted since I started playing Second Life: to build a really really tall tower. I made sure that it will be okay to have a real tall tower before I bought the land, and I remember Ener’s enthusiasm about the prospect.

In the end I didn’t build the shop or tower because I met Steamy, who gave it a go and what an awesome job he did! Ener loved his builds too, so Steamy and I installed the Ancient Spaceship and the Green Tower on my land.

Sadly, my neighbours did not like the tower much. And they never told me. I whish they did! Ener once mentioned that someone complained but she downplayed it and I didn’t find out about them hating it until the new sim owner asked me to take it down. This comes after the real sad weekend when Ener announced that she’s got to let her estate go (sob sob) so I feel a bit shaken right now.

But the Green Tower has got to go! I hate offending people, so it’s time to call the demolition team. I told Steamy. He wrote back: “Don’t sweat it Kim, it’s not worth it! I’ll build you another one when you get land where towers are legal.” What a nice bloke! I do appreciate guys like that.

I loved living in Enercity. It was funky and eclectic, a great place to explore, with secrets spots to find and zombies to avoid, totally unconventional, and always fun to be in. In every sense, it was so like the mood of the bikinis I make and sell: unconventional, a little rebellious, more than just a bit daring, but definitely never downright skanky.

I’ve been wondering today: although Enercity was perfect for Little Secrets, maybe Little Secrets no longer fits into Enercity. Perhaps it never did. Whatever the case, I do apologise to my fellow neighbours for irritating you guys! I’m truly sorry.

I guess Steamy’s right. Maybe I should find land where odd-ball towers are not only legal, but popular too.

That means that the Little Secrets main shop might move again in the next few weeks or months. If that’s the case, I’ll naturally post an update on this blog.
