Little Secrets Shop display makeover

It's been more than a year and a half since I created my first bikinis. During this time Second Life became much more sophisticated, and way we designed out shops in 2007 just can't cut it any more.

That is why I've spent the last month or two on a new design for the bikinis in my shop. The first bikini range to get it's display-makeover is the get-it-wet bikini collection:

After a week of frantic inspiration, texturing and testing, a brand new Little Hearts bikini is now available in the Little Secrets shop, just in time for your Valentine shopping.

It comes in three colours (red, white and black) and two versions: a cute dry bikini that is tiny but covers all the important bits, and then and a rather more daring wet bikini that almost covers the important bits, but not quite.

Because I've made it for a bit of fun on Valentine's day, each pack (L$100) contains a wet and a dry bikini.

There is also a colour pack that contains all three colours in both wet and dry for L$175, for girls who can't decide which colour they like best (and for you guys that are not quite sure what she likes).

Since releasing the hazardous stripes bikini a week ago (a bikini that gets girls into so much trouble that we had to stick a warning onto each shop display), I received so many requests for more colours that I've added the three most asked-for colours to the range.

Christmas half-price slash sale

Yup, Little Secrets is one of the many shops in Second Life that decided to chop their proces way down, so that residents can buy their Christmas presents in spite of the economic turmoil in both Rl and SL.

Catching some sun and waves

Last week Marcia and I caught some waves and sun. I snapped this pic:


Marcia is the blondie. She's such a natural in my bikinis! And also an up-and-coming model. And guess what? She agreed to model Little Secrets' clothes in future. How lucky can a boutique get?? Me, I'm wrapped!

Beach pack - and upcoming event

First thing next month, Little Secrets will take part in a totally fantastic event! I can't say too much about it right now, but it's going to involve lots of very sexy girls wearing very skimpy bikinis!

To gear up for this upcoming event, I'll add some new items to the Little Secrets shop.

The first new item is a beach pack that contains: a sheer blue bikini, a very sexy skin, and lots of suntan lotion. And I'm selling it for L$100, which makes it very good value for L$.

Exciting addition to the Little Secrets shop

Lakse, my Danish friend, has the knack to make beautiful tattoos. Last night we boxed up a set, and it's now for sale in Little Secrets. :-) Now that is just soooo exciting, because it is the most awesome tat ever: finely crafted, and very sexy. And I love tats. (The frustration of not being able to wear my favorite dragon tat with the bikinis in my inventory, cause the tat's on the underclothes layer and so are the majority of bikinis, was one of the reasons I started making my own.) Way to go Lakse!

Two other exciting things also happened this week:

After much deliberation, I decided to release a freebie bikini. The idea is to help new Second Life residents along. :-)

It's the mat bikini from my tiny bikini range which means that its not see-thru in any way, but its tiny to the point of being almost daring, and loads of fun on any beach.

Setting up shop

It took longer and it was more work than I thought it would be - but I've set up shop!

I decided to call it the Little Secrets shop. Right now, you will find the new bikini that I designed but I will add more stock I think. Mainly secrety girly sort of stuff.

What I didn't mention in my previous post, was that my little bikini comes on both layers, with top on shirt and undershirt layers, and bottoms on pants and underpants layers. That means I can wear it with my suntan lotion!

The other thing about it, is that it's a get-it-wet bikini :-) That means that you can choose to wear a bikini that's sheer, damp, wet, or completely transparent. Whatever suits your mood, and your skin. For instance, some skins have real pale nipples, and will only start to peek through with a damp bikini.

Little bikini

So I've completed my first little bikini. I'm mostly happy with it but, more importantly, so are the few friends I asked to try it on. :-)

I'll ask more opinions and if they all give the thumbs-up, I'll probably go and rent a shop. If not, I guess I'll have to go back to Photoshop.

SL love, SL frustration

I love Second Life, but it also frustrates me endlessly.

Well the camping finally got to me. There must be better ways to earn Lindens! My friends suggests that I use my credit card, like they do but I just dont want to do that. SL is a game, remember? And I'm determined to play the game, not break my card.
Then there's my inability to find bikinis that I like. Lots and lots and lots of bikinis, but I cant find the stuff that I like in RL.

So I'm going to solve two problems in one go: I'm going to try my hand at creating swim wear. The sort that I like. And if they are any good, I'll be selling them!!!!
